Why There Is a Time Lag in Manifestation

Have you ever experienced the time when you are outdoors and everything suddenly goes quiet? The air seems so still and even birds stop singing, it feels as though the time has stopped. Then you notice dark clouds starting to cover the sky and you hear a loud sound of thunder. The rain starts falling and you rush home with the hope that you will escape the stormy weather that’s about to break out.

There is a similar occurrence in the conscious manifestation process, which is usually called a manifestation time lag. I like to call it “Calm before the storm” because that’s what it reminds me of.

When you release your intention to the universe, you very soon start getting winks from the universe acknowledging that it got your intention. You get this acknowledgement in the form of small synchronicities, which is the first part of the manifestation process.

Soon the synchronicities stop and nothing seems to happen for quite a while. That’s where most people give up trying to manifest and start complaining that “The law of attraction doesn’t work”. That’s, of course, not the case. This happens because you enter the non-eventful time, the second manifestation phase, which is necessary for the manifestation to take place.

You can compare this time lag with what’s happening when the seed of some plant is just sown. Initially you don’t see anything happening on the surface. Nothing at all. When you don’t see anything, do you throw your hands up in despair and walk away? You don’t, because you know that there are big changes taking place in the seed although you cannot see that.

So the same goes with the conscious manifestation process. After the universe signals that it got your intention, everything will be calm for quite a while. This time lag can last from a couple of days to months, depending on how big you perceive your goal to be.

There are great changes taking place during this quiet time, but there is no way for you to see that. This is the time when your faith is tested. Do you really believe in this process? Do you really have faith in the universe, or God, in other words? You probably know the statement in the bible “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth”. Those who are patient, those who work without any acknowledgement will be the ones who will get what they want.

When you enter this manifestation stage, nothing seems to be happening and your life might even seem worse than before. As Napoleon Hill mentions in his “Think And Grow Rich” book:

“Remember, too, that all who succeed in life get off to a bad start, and pass through many heartbreaking struggles before they ‘arrive’. The turning point in the lives of those who succeed usually comes at the moment of some crisis, through which they are introduced to their ‘other selves’”.

These words remind me of the story of a Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling, because she struggled a great deal before becoming one of the best known authors of all time. In truth, the majority of people who succeed firstly meet with many misfortunes and only those who don’t give up when faced with great adversities achieve great heights.

When the still period finishes, the third manifestation stage begins. This is the stage where you start getting ideas and resources required for the manifestation to be complete.

It’s the longest period of the whole manifestation process because everything has to connect for the manifestation to occur. It’s quite easy to keep faith during this period though because you have tangible evidence that your desire is manifesting.

However, this stage can be really slow. Sometimes it takes years for a complete manifestation to occur. But that shouldn’t be a problem for anyone since you see that the process works, it may just take time.

Usually the third manifestation stage is particularly slow when you want to manifest a whole new life. That will obviously take time, but the process will be fun because you will see everything coming together. For some people it takes 10 years or more to finally see the full manifestation, but it’s a great personal growth experience and it’s definitely not upsetting to go through. It’s amazing to see that you are the creator of your reality and that you can manifest whatever you wish for.

The fourth stage of this process is the final manifestation of your desire. Everything comes together and the manifestation is complete. Usually it’s very obvious when the manifestation is about to occur. For example, if you tried to manifest some amount of money, you may be involed is some kind of transaction and you are about to be paid the amount you were visualising.

So the three stages of manifestation are quite obvious and it’s easy to keep faith when you experience them. But the second manifestation phase is where most people trip. It seems that nothing is happening. But now you will know that the time lag is a necessary manifestation stage where vital changes are taking place.

If you are in the process of manifesting something and you have entered the second stage, congratulations! Keep your faith high, be persistent and keep your focus on the goal. This stage will be gradually replaced with the third stage and finally the manifestation of your goal will happen.
